Established in 1753, The British Museum is one of the largest museums in the world with over 8 million works in its permanent collection. Located in the Bloomsbury area of London, the museum’s charter requires that its permanent collection is exhibited to members of the public for free. However, as the funding landscape for the museum has changed, Tendayi was invited to work with some teams at the museum to think in innovative ways around its business model; especially for those special exhibitions, shows and educational programs for which it can charge. The museum also has a digital department that works on digitizing the museum’s content and offering it to customers in unique ways. Tendayi provided bespoke training and coaching to various teams around business model design, customer development and experimentation.
